Warm Caribbean breezes and spectacular views harmonize with Parrot Tree’s abundant natural beauty, creating the perfect haven for your escape to the Honduran island of Roatan. Gentle hills carpeted in lush foliage along the island’s dramatic southern coast provide a spectacular backdrop for adventure.

Our exclusive oceanfront resort is a destination unlike any in Roatan, offering gracious hospitality and exhilarating recreation — including some of the best snorkeling and scuba diving in the Caribbean just off the shores of our private beach.

Water Sports

Diving conditions off Roatan are among the finest to be found anywhere. The world’s second largest barrier reef and largest living reef are teeming with a medley of aquatic life. If you have never dived, we can arrange for an internationally certified dive master to certify you in as little as three days.

Not a diver? No problem. Roatan is home to some of the most spectacular snorkeling you will ever experience. Take one of our tours as we kayak our way along the enchanting coral reef and enjoy the panoramic costal views. Then plunge into the waters below for a guided snorkeling tour.

Fishing is also a very popular activity on the island. Whether you’re interested in flats fishing, bottom fishing or deep sea fishing, we can take care of all of the arrangements. Hook up and land that big marlin or Wahoo you’ve always dreamt of catching. If you’d like to explore the Bay Islands, we can also arrange for private luxury boating and sailing cruises.

Golf

The resort offers free shuttle service to The Black Pearl, one of famed designer Pete Dye’s newest courses and the only golf course on Roatan. This 18-hole, par-72, 7200 yard championship golf course starts at the ocean’s doorstep, rises into Roatan’s scenic foothills and then takes golfers on a wild ride back to the seaside clubhouse.

It features one of Dye’s signature island greens and 14 holes offer stunning vistas of the ocean and the Meso-American Barrier Reef. With more than 100,000 plants and trees, not to mention diverse wildlife, the course is one of Roatan’s largest plant and animal sanctuaries.

Dolphin Encounters

Swimming with dolphins provides a truly unforgettable experience for all ages. One of the only facilities of its type in the world, the Roatan Institute for Marine Sciences offers the rare opportunity for divers and snorkelers to interact with these fascinating and friendly marine mammals.

Choose from an open-water dive with dolphins, where you can observe them in their natural habitat, or the dolphin snorkel, which provides more opportunities for physical contact. For those who prefer to stay in waist-deep water, the dolphin beach encounter is a popular option that allows you to actually hug one of these magical creatures.

For more information about dolphin programs at the Roatan Institute, visit their website at http://www.roatanims.org/.
